Juan Gutierrez is pursuing his J.D. at the University of Connecticut School of Law and has completed the Intellectual Property Law Certificate. In law school, he gained membership to the Connecticut Moot Court Board, Connecticut Journal of International Law, and was the president of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Society.
Juan has participated as a student associate in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic with a limited license to practice before the USPTO. Juan has had previous work experience at a boutique IP law firm and an aerospace, defense and technology company. In these roles, he has prosecuted both patents and trademarks while also participating in litigation. Juan received his B.S. in biological sciences and B.A. in Liberal Arts with a minor in chemistry from Florida International University.
