WHIPgroup obtained Notice of Allowance less than 9 months after filing a request to utilize the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) program. The PPH is a set of initiatives designed to accelerate patent prosecution by allowing participating patent offices to benefit from one another’s opinions (e.g., Written Opinion of International Search Authority). A patent application may be granted PPH status (fast-track examination procedures) in the U.S. if a foreign patent office has found patentable at least one corresponding claim in a related application. The application, now U.S. Pat. No. 9,819,868, comprises a gimbal mount, which stabilizes vibrations in a wide frequency band. Prior to issuance, the USPTO mailed only one office action, in March 2017, and the patent was allowed in August. WHIPgroup will continue to leverage effective programs like the PPH to maximize value for our clients and provide efficient patent prosecution.
