WHIPgroup filed a Motion for Default Judgment against Humboldt Marijuana Exchange in its case for trademark infringement, cyber-squatting, and commercial disparagement on behalf of its client, New Leaf Data Services. The Motion was reported by Law360 in a November 20 article titled “Pot Data Co. Seeks $4M For Rival’s TM Infringement.” WHIPgroup is seeking $4 million in monetary damages for infringement of New Leaf Data Services’ CANNABIS BENCHMARKS and HEMP BENCHMARKS registrations as well as a permanent injunction.
