WHIPgroup continues its successful use of the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) with another allowance. The invention is directed to a system for controlling network access for a terminal using a tunnel. The Notice of Allowance was obtained just over 4 months after filing the application. Thanks to the rapid allowance, the patent will issue shortly at reduced cost to the applicant. The PPH is a set of initiatives designed to accelerate patent prosecution by allowing participating patent offices to benefit from one another’s opinions (e.g., includes Written Opinion of International Search Authority). WHIPgroup files many PPH cases and we keep up to date on the latest USPTO programs. We are experts at obtaining the broadest patent protection in an efficient manner.
